Easter Bunny Hop Preschool Parachute Game

One little Easter Bunny, hop, hop, hop! Send your little Easter Bunnies under the parachute to retrieve an Easter egg. Can the preschoolers hop in and out before the parachute drops? Make this Seasonal Preschool Game more crafty by decorating the Easter Basket and the eggs before pulling out the parachute!

What You Will Need

Parachute
Easter Basket
Plastic Eggs

How to Play

1. Fill the Easter basket with plastic eggs. You’ll want to have at least one per preschooler. If you’ll be playing more than one round, it may be helpful to have extra eggs. To add a bit of excitement, consider filling the egg with a small trinket or treat.

2. Place the Easter basket on the floor where the center of the parachute will be.

3. Spread out the parachute on top of the Easter basket.

4. Have the preschoolers take their places around the edge of the parachute.

5. Lift the parachute high over your heads while singing:

One little Easter Bunny hop, hop, hop
Find your egg before the parachute drops
Hurry, Bunny! Hurry, Bunny! Run, run, run
Join your friends as the parachute stops!

6. While the parachute is on its way up, send a preschooler hopping toward the Easter basket. Once they’ve selected an egg, they can either hop or run back out to take their place at the parachute’s edge.

7. Repeat Steps 5-6, sending one preschooler at a time. As you go, change the song to reflect the Bunny’s number. For example, the second time around, sing, “Two little Easter Bunny’s…” etc.

Make Easter Bunny Hop Preschool Parachute Game More Challenging

Make this Seasonal Preschool Game more challenging by sending more than one preschooler in at a time. The first round would be the same, but starting with the second round, you’d send in two, then three, then four preschoolers simultaneously. To play this way, you’ll need to label your preschoolers with a number prior to starting. Spread the like numbers around the parachute so there will always be enough preschoolers around the edge to create a decent lift. For example,don’t place all the 4’s next to each other, or there will be a big gap on the parachute’s edge when it’s time for “Four little Easter Bunnies” to hop, hop, hop.

Enjoy crafting with your preschoolers as Easter approaches. Decorate the Easter Basket together with ribbons and stickers, and then get to work on the plastic eggs. Let each preschooler decorate their own egg with stickers, glitter, and crayons. Then when it’s time to play the Easter Bunny Preschool Parachute Game, the little Easter Bunnies can search for their own eggs in the basket.
