What You Will Need
Latex balloon
Barrier (such as a couch, table, or bed)
Plenty of strength to blow up the balloon
How To Play
1. Have your preschooler stand on one side of the barrier while you take position on the opposite side.2. Explain to your preschooler that you will take turns hitting the balloon to each other.
3. If the ball touches the barrier when your preschooler hits the balloon to you, then you will receive the point and vice versa.
Make It More Challenging
Balloon Volleyball is a lot of fun to play on it's own but when your preschooler wants to make this preschool game a bit more exciting, you can make a few new rules! Play One-Handed Balloon Volleyball for additional excitement!
1. Have your preschooler hold one hand behind his/her back
2. One person begins the play by punting the balloon to the other and then placing his/her hand behind there back.
3. Any person that touches the balloon with the out-of-play hand forfeits a point to their opponent.
Note: There is no penalty for the balloon touching the barrier, or falling to the floor.
You will find you and your preschooler laughing at the number of times you'll be tempted to use the out-of-play hand! Laughing and having fun with your preschooler is what preschool games are all about!
