Mystery Tea Cups
Preschoolers love to pretend, and one of their favorite scenarios is hosting a delightful tea party with a few of their dearest imaginary friends. A birthday is a great opportunity to make her dreams of getting all dressed-up to pour cups of pretend tea and offer tea party cookies to her friends a reality! While planning this special tea party, don't forget the fun games! Mystery Tea Cups is a fun preschool game that will keep your preschooler and her guests guessing. It's also a great preschool game to play as a prelude to the birthday meal or afterwards as it offers cookies as the prizes.
What You Will Need
3 teacups and 3 saucers
Small tea bisquits or cookies (small enough to place inside the teacup)
Small pieces of paper or sticky notes numbered 1-3
Tape (if using small pieces of paper)
4 - 6 Preschoolers
How To Play
1. Turn teacups upside down onto saucers.
2. Tape one number onto each cup, until each cup has a number 1, 2 or 3 on it.
3. Ask all of the preschoolers to close their eyes and count to 10.
4. In the meantime, place a cookie or tea bisquit on a saucer under a numbered teacup.
5. The preschoolers should open their eyes once they've reached the 10, ask them one by one to guess the number of the teacup that they think the cookie is hidden under.
6. Everyone that quesses correctly wins a cookie.
7. Continue play until everyone has won a cookie (or cookies).
Note: One way to minimize the the possibility of having upset party guests is to withhold prizes until the end of the game, and then be sure to give each player the same amount of cookies.
