Surprise Sack Stories Preschool Game

By Stacey Lloyd

Preschoolers are at the perfect age for playing games that require creativity and imagination. Just have a conversation with a preschooler and you'll learn very quickly that they have a wild imagination. The Surprise Sack Stories preschool game brings out that imagination by getting preschoolers to create their very own story about one secret object hidden in the surprise sack. Open the surprise sack and release the imagination in your preschooler! This is a great preschool game for the classroom!

What You Will Need

Cloth sack
Object of your choice

How to Play

1. Ask your preschoolers if they can guess what may be in the surprise sack.

2. Open the sack and show them the object inside.

3. Ask your preschoolers one question at a time to get them to create a story about the object. You can start with questions about what the object looks like, how it feels, smells or talk about its shape or size.

Example:

Guess what's in the surprise sack! It's very small. Hey, it's a yellow leaf! Where do leaves come from? Do you think someone may have found it on the ground? What do you think s/he said when s/he found it? What was s/he doing when s/he found it? Where do you think s/he lives? What do you think s/he did with it after s/he found it? How do you think it got in the surprise sack?

4. Finish the preschool game by having your preschoolers draw a picture about the story they just created.
