Celebrate spring with the Name That Seed Preschool Game! As the weather warms up, preschoolers want to be outside. Indulge them! Grab a blanket and a few seed packets, then head outdoors to play this preschool guessing game. Still too cold to play outside? No problem! Name That Seed Preschool Game can easily be played indoors as well.

What You Will Need Difficulty Level 3 out of 5

3-5 Varieties of Flower or Vegetable Seed Packets
Picnic Blanket, Towel, or Sheet
Small Bowl

How to Play

Buy at Art.com1. Find a nice spot on the lawn, porch, or patio where the fresh spring breezes can tickle your nose and dance with your hair.

2. Spread out your picnic blanket, towel, or sheet.

3. Have a seat with your preschooler and study the seed packets. Repeat the name several times while looking at the picture on the packet. Have your preschooler repeat the name as well.

4. Open one seed packet at a time and withdraw a seed. Associate the seed with the picture on the seed packet. Again have your preschooler repeat the name of the flower or vegetable that corresponds to the seed.

5. Put the seeds (one from each packet) into the bowl and swirl them around to mix them up.
 
6. Place the seed packets, picture side up, in front of your preschooler.

7. Take a seed from the bowl and give it to your preschooler. Can s/he guess which seed it is?
