Catching Bubbles Preschool Game

It’s spring! Head outdoors with your preschooler and play among the budding trees and flowers. Catching Bubbles Preschool Game is a perfect way to celebrate the warming weather. While this preschool bubble game is best played with giant bubble wands, it’s easily adaptable to whatever bubble supplies you have on hand!

What You Will Need

Bubble Wands, 1 per Preschooler
Bubble Solution

How to Play

1. Designate a Master Bubbler! Start by pouring bubble solution into the bubble tray. Each preschooler dips the wand and makes a bubble. The preschooler to make the largest bubble is the Master Bubbler.

2. Have the preschoolers spread out around the Master Bubbler.

3. The Master Bubbler dips the wand and spins in a slow circle with his/her bubble arm extended. Air passing through the bubble wand should be enough to make bubbles, but if not, the Master Bubbler can wave his/her bubble wand to make additional bubbles.

4. The other preschoolers use their bubble wands to try to catch the floating bubbles. The first preschooler to catch a bubble without popping it becomes the new Master Bubbler.

5. Repeat Steps 2-4 until every preschooler has had a chance to be the Master Bubbler.

Make Catching Bubbles More Challenging

Make this Outdoor Preschool Game more challenging by adding an animal element! Before starting the game, have each preschooler choose his/her favorite animal – try not to have repeats. Practice making appropriate animal sounds to make sure each preschooler knows which sound belongs to his/her animal. While playing Catching Bubbles Preschool Game, preschoolers must make their animal sound when they catch a bubble. If they make the wrong sound, they forfeit their turn as Master Bubbler (one round only), and the current Master Bubbler continues to make bubbles until another preschooler catches one.
